What Is 3DMatrx?

3DMatrix is a modeler with an emphasis on the sort of models desired by real-time applications. The models need to be memory efficient and so mirroring is supported. The name '3DMatrix' comes out of the concept that mirrored groups of polygons can be transformed using any matrix transformation, a feature not seen in other modeling packages.

Your polygon data can be exported using the Export Window (short-cut 'i') for further work in your other 3D applications. You can also save the complete model (including folder heirarchy and mirror information) as an XML file. Game designers can easily understand the structure of this XML format and so 3DMatrix can be used to edit models in real-time as they are referenced within games.

3DMatrix can also be used by visual artists to create high resolution JPG images of scenes. Right-click the Perspective View window to save the view as a JPG image.

The complete software was written by Julian Cochran of Adelaide, Australia.
