Special Points
Special Points can be used for any purpose when you want to describe a point within your model. Common applications include:
- Defining the model's center of mass.
- Using two special points to describe an axis of rotation.
- Describing the position where weapon fire should begin.
- Describing the position of a sub-model that might be carried by your model.
Special Points can be created by right-clicking a folder in the Object Browser and selecting New Special Point At Locator. Special Points are positioned at the Locator and can be re-positioned at any time by right-clicking the Special Point and selecting Set Special Point At Locator Position.
Special Points can also be color coded, as they appear in the Orthographic View windows, by right-clicking the Special Point and selecting a color from the menu.
