Transformed (ie. Mirrored) Representation
A Representation of a Polygon Group is either a Direct Representation or a Transformed (ie. Mirrored) Representation.
The Transformed Representation is a mirror view on a Polygon Group. The transformation is done a 4x4 matrix.
When you click a Transformed Representation in the Object Browser to activate it, all of the vertexes for that Representation will be highlighted in blue. You can then use the Transform Window to act on the Representation's matrix or click one of the blue vertexes in an Orthographic window to drag the Representation around.
While most 3D Modelling scenes allow parts of the model to be mirrored, 3DMatrix's Representations allow mirroring in a larger number of ways, including the scaling of an individual axis and skewing and well as common translations and rotations. Having all of the transformations contained in a single 4x4 matrix also allows the model to be rendered in the fastest and most memory efficient way.
